POINTS of contact was offering a trip to Venice for the best photo of an architect wearing a Venetian mask (available in our printed magazine and online) published on our Social Media channels Facebook, Twitter or Instagram by using #POINTSofcontactvenice.

Sumita Singha won the challenge with the following photo and visited the Meeting Point for Architects at Palazzo Contarini Polignac in Venice during the Opening Week of the Architecture Biennale 2018. Mrs. Singha enjoyed the historic Palazzo and its spacious garden facing the Grand Canal and did several sketches. Thank you for coming and hope to see you in two years!

„I have been coming to the Venice Biennale for many years. Venice has been a ‚Point of Contact‘ for the West and East for thousands of years and has a particular symbolic meaning for me as someone from the East living in the West. The architecture of Venice drawn from its various references, its location between water and land, and the Biennale which draws people from all over the world, gives it an universality and generosity, not seen elsewhere. I’ve always loved dressing up and the competition organised by Points of Contact gave me an opportunity to express these ideas. Thank you very much!“
